Cafes BO, more than half a century of history
Our company was founded in 1961, when Eduardo Ribes and Fina Lluch, decided to expand their future prospects. Fina and Eduardo, young, hardworking and bold, began toasting coffee in an old fruit and vegetable store owned by 'Uncle BO', Fina's father.
Finding a name for the brand of our coffee, it was not difficult, because he was born in a family known in the city of Benicarlo, as a family 'BO' (in Valencian, good). Cafes BO, is a very appropriate name for the characteristics of our coffee, selected and toasted with care, handmade.
Eventually, the Mobylette with which Eduardo made his first deliveries, went to the SEAT van, to the construction of a new roaster in 1964, to the opening of the first tasting shop and the subsequent transfer of the roaster to the address current in the industrial area Mercado de Abastos.
In 1993, being the new director of the company Martin Ribes, son of Eduardo and Fina, Cafes BO becomes part of the first members of the Club de Tostadores Artesanos de Cafe Gourmet.
The team formed by the 3 generations of the BO family, linked to the roaster and all our workers, strive every day with the same enthusiasm as Fina and Eduardo, to be able to offer our clients the quality, service and attention that these they deserve.
Honor Partners 2018 Award
The work behind this exciting project, the effort to put that little grain of sand, or rather, that little seed, to recognize and name a part of our history, and give us this distinction that both makes us proud, deserves the pain.
Thanks to the Association Amics del Papa Luna for this award that we received so proudly.
